Take an inside peak into all of the places to teach and learn at TREC.

TREC offers facilities commensurate with its mission of furthering research and educating the public about the issues related to conservation in the Presque Isle and Pennsylvania’s Great Lakes Region. Our facilities include:

Large classroom/conference room for larger groups
Small classroom settings for smaller groups
Big Green Screen Theatre: Bigger IS better and our 4-story high, 45-feet-wide Big Green Screen proves it.
Discovery Center for firsthand experiences and discoveries for ages from pre-school to third grade
Research Labs – TREC is currently home to eight research labs including a large aquatics lab featuring fish and other native species from Lake Erie
See Presque Isle and Lake Erie from the TREC Tower – climb the 75-foot, glass-enclosed tower for a spectacular view of Lake Erie, the beaches and the Erie lakeshore.

THE ULTIMATE SCHOOL DAY

When did school become a day at the beach? With TREC! Our educators will teach you about woods, water, and wildlife. Go beachcoming, observe birds, write messages in the sand. Beats study hall any day. Teachers, check out our curriculum and pre lessons
