Discover E Program for Young People Explore

DiscoverE programs are designed to help youth learn about the natural world while enjoying Pennsylvania state parks. The series consists of programs that allow young people to explore their environment with others of the same age while participating in healthy activities. Youth who progress from one program to the next will continually grow in their understanding and stewardship of the environment and will continue enjoying outdoor activities. Participants receive a badge and certificate when program requirements are achieved.

Hide-n-Seekers: Ages 4-5
June 4 & 18, July 2 & 16, August 6 & 20
10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Participate in all six Outside the Window programs from June through August and earn a certificate and a badge.  Designed especially for preschool aged children and an accompanying adult, these interactive programs help your child discover the world “outside the window” and get in touch with all of the nature of Presque Isle.  Children get a truly hands-on adventure as they explore a new topic each day with a story, craft, and outdoor exploration.

Outdoor Explorers: Ages 6-8

9 a.m. - Noon

Children will get outdoors and explore Presque Isle during this 3-day camp.  Participants will discover the natural resources of the peninsula through exciting programs.  By combining recreation and education, we hope to motivate children to learn more and return often, leading to a lifetime of outdoor enjoyment and conservation ethic.  Experience all the ways to enjoy the summer outdoors on the park.
